CROW

I reworked the crow by just adding some pigment and water and letting the water move the pigment out...a sense of movement?

Still working on The Year of the Bird so you'll be seeing many more crows this year...along with every other kind of feathered friend.

Hi there Rhonda!... My apologies to you.... I have been AWOL from visiting and commenting but not because I wanted to be. I kept getting an error message when I tried to access your site. I'm back... and what a MIGHTY body of interesting pieces you have left the viewer to enjoy!

I will check in stages and report back... but your bird theme is marvellous!I love the active effects you have created with the crow here. Gets rid of the static feel in your first "fly past!" HA HA!!

I love the Lady Bug... and so does my wife Deb. It's her alter ego... she collects them. The red makes it an a-okay and very different take on a Valentine!

Great work Rhonda... all of it! Such a head of steam!... Sap's already boiling at your studio!

Warmest regards... and Good Painting!
Bruce

Like the effect Rhonda it really does create the impression the bird is in flight. Looking forward to your year of the bird!

Masterful. This, to me, is where you really shine.

Thanks so much for the positive comments, Bruce, Jennifer Rose, Caroline, Alice Jo and Caroline. You all have made my day. right now, we are getting snow = huge, fluffy, feathery flakes and the Redbirds are showing off their plumage against the white as they crowd the feeders! Birds are such a wonderful gift to us :)

Thanks, Lisa. I do like using the Lunar Black with a bit of Cerulean but would like to try one sometime with lots of colors but still reading black.

I'm so glad everyone likes this one - I was wary about adding the "contrails" but figured it was worth trying. Thanks, Deb :)
